Founded in 2018, Michigan State University’s Science Gallery works with young adults to ignite creativity and discovery at the intersections of science, technology, art, and design. Science Gallery is our nation’s first member of the prestigious, international Science Gallery Network. The university-linked Science Gallery Network consists of nine locations worldwide: Dublin, London, Venice, Bengaluru, Melbourne, Rotterdam, Detroit, Atlanta, and Berlin. In 2021, Science Gallery became a programmatic division of the MSU Museum aimed at experimentation and innovation at the intersection of science and art.

Venue offerings:

  • Exhibitions: Science Gallery hosts annual exhibitions with exciting new themes every year. We strive to engage 15-25-year-olds in connective, participative, and surprising ways. We combine emerging research and ideas from the worlds of art, science, design, and technology.

  • Programs: In addition to our annual exhibition, we also host a variety of public programs throughout the year. Our programs offer a variety of conversations, performances, and workshops for audiences to enjoy!

  • Mediators: Mediators are a team of young adults with a passion for talking about the collision between science and the arts. They interact with visitors through conversation and storytelling to facilitate informal learning by expounding upon exhibition themes.
