The Bug House consists of two small rooms, one with displays of insects and arthropods from around the world on the walls, as well as space for giving presentations to school classes, and a second room that holds cages of our live insects and arthropods for viewing, touching, and handling. We can accommodate school classes and other groups of up to 30 people by appointment. We also offer scheduled open house events for the general public which can accommodate approximately 50 people at a time.
- Hour-long in person preK-12 class tours/visits: A 10-20 minute age-appropriate lecture/presentation by our Bug House guides on the biology of insects followed by viewing of our many displays of insects and the opportunity to see, touch and hold some of our live insects and arthropods.
